Though you may not realize it, the windshield of your vehicle is a crucial feature of your car. Together with other elements such as seat belts and air bags, your windshield is one of the important safety features of your car. Before embarking on holiday travels, be sure to check your windshield!
Typically, we think of the windshield as something that protects the driver and passengers from weather conditions and any debris from hitting their faces during a road trip. You may think that a small crack or chip is merely an aesthetic issue. You would be wrong. The windshield actually helps to support the structure of your vehicle, and up to 45% of roof strength is provided by your windshield.
With over 40,000 Americans killed and more than 5 million injured every year in highway crashes, we at NOVUS would like to share with you some windshield safety tips.
